📖 “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”— 1 Samuel 16:7
“This is Not a Child”
Many misunderstandings occur not because people hear the truth, but because they only hear a part of it.When a person hears only a single sentence without knowing the context, sees only a single action without knowing the story behind it, or knows only the final outcome without knowing the process, misunderstanding begins to grow. Judgment then replaces understanding, speculation replaces fact, and words gradually become tools for mutual hurt.Someone might look at a child and say, “This is just a child.”But in the eyes of God, this is not just an ordinary child. This is not a label, not an age, and not an object to be easily defined by others. This is a unique life, a person made in the image of God, a deeply loved child of God, uniquely shaped by His hands, and endowed with worth and purpose. When we look at others through our own eyes, we see only the appearance; when God looks at people, He sees the soul. Therefore, before rushing to evaluate others, we should first learn to understand. Before rushing to judge others, we should first learn to listen. Before rushing to spread incomplete information, we should first seek the whole truth.A misunderstood word can break a person’s heart. A hasty judgment can alter a relationship between people. The wise person is not the one who hears the most, but the one who understands the deepest.May we all learn to see people through the eyes of God, unmoved by partial information and undeceived by outward appearances. For everyone we meet is much more than who they seem to be in the eyes of others. In the eyes of God, they are precious; they are unique; they are loved. So, this is not just a child. This is a child of God.
