Charismatic movements and new forms of independent Pentecostal and evangelical Christianity are receiving increasing attention across Asia.
On September 30, Ecumenical News reported comments from Mathews George Chunakara, former general secretary of the Christian Conference of Asia. He observed that charismatic, independent Pentecostal, and evangelical movements are growing and expanding in parts of Asia alongside established Christian traditions.
This should be understood as the observation of a Christian leader interviewed by the publication, rather than as a comprehensive global statistical conclusion.
