— 1 Kings Chapter 9
话说所罗门把耶和华的圣殿、自己的王宫，还有他心里头想盖的那些工程，基本都完工了。
Solomon had finished building the temple of the LORD, his own palace, and basically all the other projects he had wanted to build.
这时候，耶和华第二次向所罗门显现，就跟以前在基遍向他显现那回一样。
At that time, the LORD appeared to Solomon a second time, just as He had appeared to him before at Gibeon.
耶和华跟所罗门说：
The LORD said to Solomon:
“你之前跟我祷告、求我的那些事，我都听见了。
“I have heard the prayers and requests you made to Me.
你盖的这个圣殿，我已经分别为圣了，我的名要永远立在这里。
I have consecrated this temple that you have built, and My name will remain here forever.
我的眼睛和我的心，也要常常在那里。
My eyes and My heart will always be there.
你要是能像你爹大卫那样，老老实实、正正当当地跟着我走，把我吩咐你的都照着做，守我的律例典章。
If you walk before Me faithfully and uprightly, like your father David, doing everything I have commanded you and keeping My laws and decrees,
那我就让你的王位在以色列一直稳稳当当的，直到永远。
then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever.
就像我以前答应你爹大卫的：你们大卫家的后代，总会有人坐在以色列的王位上。
Just as I promised your father David: there will always be someone from your family sitting on the throne of Israel.
但是呢，要是你、子子孙孙以后不顺服，不守我的诫命和律例，跑去拜别的神，
But if you and your descendants turn away from Me, fail to obey My commandments and laws, and go and worship other gods,
那我就把以色列人从我给他们的这块地上赶出去。
then I will remove the Israelites from the land I have given them.
连你们为了我的名分别为圣的这座圣殿，我也不再管它了。
Even this temple that you have consecrated for My name, I will no longer regard.
到时候以色列人会在各国人眼里成为笑话，被人家指指点点和嘲笑。
Then Israel will become an object of ridicule and mockery among all the nations.
这座圣殿现在看着又高又气派，将来让路过的人看见，就会想：
Though this temple now looks high and magnificent, those who pass by it in the future will wonder:
‘这是怎么呢？耶和华为啥把这地方和这座殿建成这样啊？’
‘Why has the LORD done this to this land and this temple?’
有人就会回答：
And someone will answer:
‘因为他们把带领他们祖先出埃及的耶和华，他们的神撇下了，反倒去亲近、敬拜、伺候别的神。
‘Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and instead went after, worshiped, and served other gods.
所以耶和华才让这些灾祸临到他们身上。’”
That is why the LORD has brought all these disasters upon them.’”
所罗门把圣殿、王宫，还有自己想建的那些工程都做完以后，
After Solomon had finished the temple, the palace, and all the other projects he wanted to build,
推罗王希兰派手下人来找所罗门。
King Hiram of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon.
以前希兰一直帮着所罗门，给他供应香柏木、松木和金子。
Hiram had previously helped Solomon by supplying cedar wood, pine wood, and gold.
这回所罗门把加利利地的二十座城给了希兰。
This time Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
希兰从推罗出来，跑过去看看这二十座城。
Hiram came out from Tyre and went to see the twenty cities Solomon had given him.
结果一看，心里不太得劲儿。
But when he saw them, he was not pleased.
他就对所罗门说：
So he said to Solomon:
“我兄弟啊，你给我的这是什么城啊？”
“My brother, what kind of cities are these that you have given me?”
所以后来那些地方就被叫作“迦步勒”，一直叫到当时。
Therefore those places were called Kabul, a name they have been known by ever since.
之前希兰还给过所罗门一百二十他连得的金子。
Hiram had also previously given Solomon one hundred and twenty talents of gold.
所罗门王把以色列人都招集起来，安排人建工程。
King Solomon gathered the Israelites together and assigned them to work on his building projects.
不过这里头有些苦工，是当地的原住民。
However, some of the laborers were descendants of the people who had originally lived in the land.
就是亚摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人的后代。
They were descendants of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
这些人以前以色列人没能全部把他们赶出去，所以他们的后代一直留在以色列地。
The Israelites had not been able to completely drive these people out before, so their descendants continued to live in the land of Israel.
所罗门就让这些人服苦役。
Solomon made these people perform forced labor.
直到那个时候，他们还在做这种苦工。
They were still doing this forced labor at that time.
但是以色列人自己，所罗门没有把他们当奴仆使唤。
But Solomon did not make the Israelites serve as slaves.
以色列人主要就是当战士、臣仆、军长、车兵长和马兵长。
The Israelites served mainly as soldiers, officials, commanders, and leaders of his chariots and cavalry.
所罗门手底下还有五百五十个督工，专门管干活的人。
Solomon also had five hundred and fifty officials who supervised the workers.
所罗门继续大搞建设。
Solomon continued carrying out major building projects.
他建造耶和华的圣殿、自己的王宫，还有米罗和耶路撒冷的城墙。
He built the temple of the LORD, his own palace, the Millo, and the walls of Jerusalem.
又修建夏琐、米吉多和基色。
He also rebuilt Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.
以前埃及王法老曾经攻打基色，把城打下来以后，一把火烧了，还杀了住在里面的迦南人。
Previously, Pharaoh king of Egypt had attacked Gezer, captured it, burned it with fire, and killed the Canaanites who lived there.
后来法老把基色当作嫁女儿的嫁妆给了所罗门。
Later Pharaoh gave Gezer to Solomon as a wedding gift for his daughter.
所罗门又把基色重新修起来。
Solomon rebuilt Gezer.
接着又建造下伯和仑、巴拉，还有旷野里的达莫。
Then he built Lower Beth-horon, Baalath, and Tamar in the wilderness.
另外还盖了一大堆积货城、屯车的城、马兵的城。
He also built many storage cities, cities for his chariots, and cities for his cavalry.
凡是所罗门在耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩和整个国家都建起了城。
Solomon built everything he desired to build in Jerusalem, Lebanon, and throughout his kingdom.
至于国家里剩下的赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人的后代，
As for the descendants of the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites who remained in the land,
就是以前以色列人没灭尽的那些人，
these were the people whom the Israelites had not completely destroyed,
所罗门就从他们的后代里挑人出来，让他们服苦役。
Solomon selected people from among their descendants and made them perform forced labor.
一直到那时候，这个制度还在继续。
This system continued until that time.
不过所罗门也没有把敬拜神的事儿忘了。
But Solomon did not forget the worship of God either.
他按照他爹大卫以前定下来的规矩，把祭司和利未人的班次都安排明白了。
According to the regulations established earlier by his father David, he arranged the divisions of the priests and Levites.
每天该干啥，他们就照规矩干啥。
They carried out their daily duties according to the regulations.
每天该献的燔祭，也照着献。
They also offered the daily burnt offerings as prescribed.
到了安息日、月朔，还有一年三大节——
On the Sabbaths, at the New Moons, and during the three major festivals of the year—
除酵节、七七节和住棚节，
the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Tabernacles—
也都按照摩西的命令献祭。
they also offered sacrifices according to the command of Moses.
后来，所罗门又跑到以东地红海边，靠近以禄的以旬迦别，开始造船。
Later, Solomon went to Ezion-geber on the shore of the Red Sea in the land of Edom, near Elath, and began building ships.
希兰也派了自己的手下，就是那些特别会跑海、懂航海的船员，
Hiram also sent his own servants, experienced sailors who knew how to navigate the sea,
跟所罗门的仆人一起坐船出海。
to sail together with Solomon’s servants.
他们一路跑到俄斐。
They sailed all the way to Ophir.
到了那儿以后，弄回来四百二十他连得的金子，
When they arrived there, they brought back four hundred and twenty talents of gold,
然后运回去，交给所罗门王。
and transported it back to King Solomon.
