《列王纪上》第1章
1 Kings Chapter 1
大卫王年纪已经很大了，身体也越来越差。
King David was now very old, and his health was getting worse.
虽然给他盖了很多被子，他还是觉得冷。
Even though they covered him with many blankets, he still felt cold.
身边的臣仆就想了个办法，对他说：
So his servants came up with an idea and said to him:
“王啊，要不找一个年轻漂亮的姑娘来照顾您，陪着您睡觉，也能给您暖暖身体。”
“King, why don’t we find a young and beautiful woman to take care of you, sleep beside you, and keep you warm?”
于是，他们在全国找了一个很漂亮的年轻女子，叫亚比煞，是书念人。
So they searched throughout Israel and found a very beautiful young woman named Abishag, a Shunammite.
亚比煞来到王宫以后，就一直照顾大卫王，伺候他的生活。
After Abishag came to the palace, she took care of King David and served him.
但是，大卫王并没有和她发生夫妻关系。
However, King David did not have sexual relations with her.
亚多尼雅想当王
Adonijah Wants to Be King
这时候，大卫王有一个儿子叫亚多尼雅。
At this time, King David had a son named Adonijah.
亚多尼雅心里开始有自己的打算。
Adonijah began making his own plans.
他想：
He thought:
“我父亲已经这么老了，以后王位肯定是我的。”
“My father is already very old. The throne will surely be mine.”
于是，他直接说：
So he simply said:
“我要当王！”
“I will be king!”
他开始给自己准备车辆、马兵，还找了五十个人跟在自己前面跑。
He prepared chariots and horsemen for himself, and he also got fifty men to run ahead of him.
看起来就像一个真正的王一样。
He made himself look like a real king.
而且，他父亲大卫王以前也没有严厉地管教过他，没有问过他：
Also, his father, King David, had never seriously disciplined him or asked him:
“你为什么要这样做？”
“Why are you doing this?”
所以亚多尼雅越来越大胆。
So Adonijah became more and more bold.
他开始找人支持自己
He Begins Looking for Support
亚多尼雅又找了几个人帮助他。
Adonijah then found people to support him.
其中有大卫王的元帅约押，还有祭司亚比亚他。
Among them were Joab, the commander of David’s army, and Abiathar, the priest.
他们都支持亚多尼雅。
They supported Adonijah.
但是，也有很多重要的人没有支持他。
But many important people did not support him.
祭司撒督、比拿雅、先知拿单，还有大卫王的勇士们，都没有跟随亚多尼雅。
The priest Zadok, Benaiah, the prophet Nathan, and David’s mighty warriors did not follow Adonijah.
亚多尼雅觉得自己已经准备好了。
Adonijah thought he was ready.
于是，他在一个地方摆了一场很大的宴席。
So he held a great feast at a certain place.
他杀了很多牛羊，邀请自己的兄弟和犹大的官员来吃饭。
He prepared many cattle and sheep, and invited his brothers and the officials of Judah to the feast.
大家一起吃饭、喝酒，好像是在庆祝一件大喜事。
They ate and drank together as if they were celebrating something wonderful.
但是，他故意没有邀请几个人。
But he deliberately did not invite several important people.
其中包括：
They included:
先知拿单、比拿雅、大卫王的勇士，还有他的弟弟所罗门。
The prophet Nathan, Benaiah, David’s mighty warriors, and his brother Solomon.
为什么不邀请所罗门？
Why didn’t he invite Solomon?
因为亚多尼雅知道，所罗门最有可能是继承王位的人。
Because Adonijah knew that Solomon was the most likely person to inherit the throne.
先知拿单听说以后，马上去找所罗门的母亲拔示巴。
When the prophet Nathan heard about this, he immediately went to Solomon’s mother, Bathsheba.
拿单告诉她：
Nathan told her:
“你知道吗？
“Do you know what has happened?
亚多尼雅已经开始让自己当王了。
Adonijah has already made himself king.
可是大卫王根本不知道这件事。
But King David knows nothing about it.
你赶快去见大卫王。
You need to go quickly and see King David.
你要提醒他，以前他不是已经答应过你，说所罗门会接替他当王吗？”
You need to remind him that he promised you that Solomon would become king after him, didn’t he?”
拔示巴听完以后，就赶紧去见大卫王。
After hearing this, Bathsheba quickly went to see King David.
拔示巴来到大卫面前。
Bathsheba came before David.
大卫王问：
King David asked:
“你来找我有什么事？”
“Why have you come to see me?”
拔示巴说：
Bathsheba said:
“王啊，您以前不是向神发过誓吗？
“My lord the king, didn’t you swear before God?
您说过，所罗门会接替您作王。
You said that Solomon would become king after you.
可是现在亚多尼雅已经自己开始当王了。
But now Adonijah has made himself king.
他已经邀请很多人参加宴席，还得到了约押和亚比亚他的支持。
He has invited many people to his feast, and he has the support of Joab and Abiathar.
可是所罗门却没有被邀请。
But Solomon was not invited.
现在大家都在等着您决定，到底谁来继承王位。
Now everyone is waiting for you to decide who will inherit the throne.
如果您去世以后，所罗门没有成为王，那我和我的儿子可能都会有危险。”
If you die and Solomon does not become king, my son and I may be in danger.”
拔示巴正在说话的时候，先知拿单也来了。
While Bathsheba was still speaking, the prophet Nathan also arrived.
拿单来到大卫王面前，说：
Nathan came before King David and said:
“王啊，是不是您决定让亚多尼雅当王？
“My lord the king, did you decide that Adonijah should become king?
因为他今天已经摆宴席了，还请了很多重要的人。
Because today he has held a feast and invited many important people.
可是他没有请所罗门。
But he did not invite Solomon.
如果不是您让他这么做的，那您现在必须告诉大家，谁才是下一任王。”
If you did not tell him to do this, then you must tell everyone who will be the next king.”
大卫王这时候才知道事情已经发展到这个地步了。
Only then did King David realize how far the situation had gone.
于是他说：
So he said:
“把拔示巴叫来。”
“Bring Bathsheba to me.”
拔示巴再次来到大卫王面前。
Bathsheba came before King David again.
大卫王对她说：
King David said to her:
“我向永生的耶和华发誓，我以前答应你的事情不会改变。
“I swear by the living Lord that what I promised you before will not change.
所罗门一定会接替我作王。
Solomon will surely become king after me.
而且我今天就要这么做。”
And I will make it happen today.”
于是，大卫王马上开始安排所罗门登基。
So King David immediately began making arrangements for Solomon to become king.
他叫来祭司撒督、先知拿单和比拿雅。
He called the priest Zadok, the prophet Nathan, and Benaiah.
对他们说：
He said to them:
“你们把所罗门带出去，让他骑我的骡子。
“Take Solomon and have him ride on my mule.
然后带他到基训。
Then take him down to Gihon.
在那里，祭司撒督和先知拿单要正式膏立他，让他成为王。
There, the priest Zadok and the prophet Nathan are to anoint him and make him king.
然后吹号，告诉所有人：
Then blow the trumpet and tell everyone:
‘愿所罗门王万岁！’
‘Long live King Solomon!’
我要让所罗门坐在我的王位上。
I want Solomon to sit on my throne.
他就是下一任王。”
He is the next king.”
于是，撒督、拿单、比拿雅，还有大卫王的勇士们，都跟着所罗门。
So Zadok, Nathan, Benaiah, and David’s mighty warriors followed Solomon.
他们让所罗门骑上大卫王的骡子，来到基训。
They had Solomon ride on King David’s mule and brought him to Gihon.
祭司撒督拿出膏油，正式膏立所罗门成为以色列的王。
The priest Zadok took the oil and officially anointed Solomon as king of Israel.
百姓马上开始欢呼：
The people immediately began shouting:
“愿所罗门王万岁！”
“Long live King Solomon!”
大家又吹号，又吹笛子，又大声欢呼。
They blew trumpets, played flutes, and shouted loudly.
整个地方非常热闹。
The whole place became very noisy and joyful.
声音非常大，甚至震动了地面。
The sound was so loud that the ground seemed to shake.
这个时候，亚多尼雅还在和那些支持他的人一起吃饭。
At that time, Adonijah was still eating with the people who supported him.
突然，他们听见外面的号角声。
Suddenly, they heard the sound of trumpets outside.
约押说：
Joab said:
“外面为什么这么热闹？”
“Why is there so much noise outside?”
正在这时候，约拿单来了。
Just then, Jonathan arrived.
亚多尼雅还以为约拿单是来告诉他什么好消息。
Adonijah thought Jonathan had come to bring him good news.
他说：
He said:
“你来了，肯定是有好消息吧？”
“You’re here! You must have good news, right?”
约拿单说：
Jonathan said:
“不是好消息。”
“No, it is not good news.”
“大卫王已经立所罗门为王了！”
“King David has made Solomon king!”
亚多尼雅一听，当场愣住了。
When Adonijah heard this, he was shocked.
约拿单继续告诉他：
Jonathan continued:
“祭司撒督、先知拿单、比拿雅，还有大卫王的勇士，全都跟着所罗门。
“The priest Zadok, the prophet Nathan, Benaiah, and all of David’s mighty warriors are with Solomon.
他们已经在基训正式膏立所罗门为王。
They have already anointed Solomon as king at Gihon.
现在百姓都在欢呼。
Now the people are celebrating.
整个城里都知道了。
The whole city knows about it.
所罗门已经坐上王位了。”
Solomon has taken the throne.”
亚多尼雅和那些跟他一起吃饭的人一听，全都害怕了。
When Adonijah and his guests heard this, they were all afraid.
大家马上离开，跑回自己家去了。
They immediately left and went home.
亚多尼雅知道：
Adonijah realized:
“我刚才想抢王位，现在所罗门已经当王了。
“I just tried to take the throne, and now Solomon is king.
他会不会杀我？”
Will he kill me?”
于是，他跑到祭坛那里，抓住祭坛的角。
So he ran to the altar and held on to the horns of the altar.
有人把这件事情告诉所罗门：
Someone told Solomon what had happened:
“亚多尼雅现在很害怕。
“Adonijah is very afraid.
他抓着祭坛的角，希望您答应不杀他。”
He is holding on to the horns of the altar, hoping that you will promise not to kill him.”
所罗门知道以后，说：
When Solomon heard this, he said:
“如果他以后老老实实做人，我不会杀他。
“If he proves himself to be a good and faithful man, I will not kill him.
但是，如果他继续做坏事，那他就要为自己的行为负责。”
But if he continues to do evil, he will be responsible for his own actions.”
于是，所罗门让人把亚多尼雅带到自己面前。
So Solomon ordered them to bring Adonijah before him.
亚多尼雅来到所罗门面前，低头下拜。
Adonijah came before Solomon and bowed down.
所罗门最后只对他说了一句话：
Solomon said only one thing to him:
“你回家去吧。”
“Go home.”
就这样，这件事情暂时结束了。
And with that, the matter came to an end for the time being.
