Yesterday, before noon, the sky gradually grew dark.
Soon, the sky became darker and darker, and my heart began to feel uneasy as well.
“Should I go home? If I leave now, maybe I can still make it home before the heavy rain comes. It looks like a huge storm is coming.”
At that moment, everyone’s phone in the church began making sharp warning sounds, and some people started to become uneasy.
Especially me.
I stood up, walked to the window, and looked outside.
The sky was still quiet for a moment.
So I returned to my seat, and my mind began to wander:
“Maybe I shouldn’t have come today. Yes, maybe God is also saying that I don’t need to come today. I was right about this before. But somehow, I still feel that I should have come.”
While I was lost in these thoughts, the sky suddenly opened up with pouring rain, accompanied by strong winds. The rain became heavier and heavier.
“Oh my goodness! When is this going to stop? I haven’t even eaten yet, and there’s no lunch at church today.”
Before I knew it, I was drawn back to what the pastor was saying.
The joke the pastor told made me laugh, and little by little, I forgot about my worries.
I looked at the other brothers and sisters again. They were still listening attentively. No one was being distracted by the huge storm outside.
That moment encouraged me.
I began to believe. I began to focus. Slowly, I forgot everything around me.
Then one of the church ministers asked everyone to stand and sing a hymn.
After we finished singing, I looked out the window again—
The rain had completely stopped.
At that moment, I surrendered.
I thought: Who else in this world, besides God, can truly be trusted?
I don’t know why the rain stopped at that particular moment, and I don’t dare to say that God stopped the rain specifically in response to me.
But I know that through this experience, I saw once again that when I am troubled by my circumstances and led by my own thoughts and fears, God is still there.
So I want to remember this moment and praise the wonder of God.
I also want to share this true experience with everyone who believes in Him, and with those who will one day belong to Him.
May the kingdom of God come soon. May His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
May all nations and all peoples worship Him.
Amen!
