1 Kings Chapter 11
所罗门当王那会儿，刚开始很蒙神祝福。因为他心里有耶和华。可是我们常说男人有钱就学坏，所罗门就应验了这句话。一有钱、有地位、有权力，就飘了。忘记了自己是大卫的子孙。忘了大卫死前对他的嘱咐。
When Solomon first became king, he was greatly blessed by God because the Lord was in his heart. But as people often say, “When a man gets rich, he may go bad,” and Solomon proved that saying true. Once he had money, status, and power, he became proud. He forgot that he was a descendant of David. He forgot what David had instructed him before he died.
所罗门除了娶法老的女儿以外，还娶了一大堆外邦女子。
Besides marrying Pharaoh’s daughter, Solomon also married a large number of foreign women.
有摩押的、亚扪的、以东的、西顿的，还有赫人的。
There were women from Moab, Ammon, Edom, Sidon, and the Hittites.
神以前就跟以色列人说过：
God had already told the Israelites:
“你们不要娶这些外邦女子，因为她们容易把你们的心带跑偏了，让你们跟着她们去拜别的神。”
“Do not marry these foreign women, because they can easily lead your hearts astray and cause you to follow and worship other gods.”
可所罗门全忘了，他偏偏就喜欢这些女子，沉迷于她们。
But Solomon completely forgot this. He insisted on loving these women and became deeply attached to them.
他一共有七百个妃子，都是公主；还有三百个嫔妃。
He had seven hundred wives, all of them princesses, and three hundred concubines.
你想想，这一千个女人整天围着他，久而久之，所罗门的心就变了。
Just think about it—having a thousand women around him all the time, little by little, Solomon’s heart changed.
所罗门老了以后，他内心慢慢变弱。那些妃嫔使他的心越来越远离耶和华，他开始亲近其他的神。
When Solomon grew old, his heart gradually became weaker. His wives and concubines led his heart farther and farther away from the Lord, and he began to follow other gods.
他的心没有他父亲大卫那么坚定，不再一心一意地跟着耶和华。
His heart was not as steadfast as that of his father David, and he no longer followed the Lord wholeheartedly.
所罗门开始跟着西顿人的女神亚斯他录，又去拜亚扪人的神米勒公。
Solomon began to follow Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, and worship Milcom, the god of the Ammonites.
这还不算完。他甚至在耶路撒冷对面的山上，给摩押的神基抹、亚扪人的神摩洛建了祭坛。
That was not the end of it. He even built altars on the mountain east of Jerusalem for Chemosh, the god of Moab, and Molek, the god of the Ammonites.
那些外邦女子要给自己的神烧香、献祭，他也由着她们。
When those foreign women wanted to burn incense and offer sacrifices to their gods, he allowed them to do so.
这一下耶和华大怒。
This made the Lord very angry.
因为神以前已经两次向所罗门显现过，而且明确告诉他不能跟随别的神。
For God had already appeared to Solomon twice and clearly told him not to follow other gods.
可所罗门没听。
But Solomon did not listen.
所以耶和华对他说：
So the Lord said to him:
“你既然干了这些事，又不守我跟你立的约，也不守我的律例，我就要把你的国夺回来，交给你的臣子。
“Because you have done these things and have not kept my covenant with you or obeyed my laws, I will take the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your servants.
不过看在你父亲大卫的份上，我不会在你活着的时候让事情发生。
However, for the sake of your father David, I will not do this while you are alive.
等你儿子作王以后，我要从他手里把国夺回来。
When your son becomes king, I will take the kingdom from his hand.
但我也不会把整个国家都夺走，因为大卫是我的仆人，耶路撒冷也是我所拣选的，所以还要给你儿子留下一个支派。”
But I will not take the whole kingdom away, because David is my servant and Jerusalem is the city I have chosen. So I will leave one tribe for your son.”
果不其然，接下来，麻烦一个接一个地找到了所罗门。
Sure enough, after that, trouble came to Solomon one thing after another.
神兴起了一个以东人，叫哈达，来跟所罗门作对。
God raised up an Edomite named Hadad to oppose Solomon.
这个哈达是以东王家的后代。
Hadad was a descendant of the royal family of Edom.
以前大卫打以东的时候，元帅约押带兵去，把以东的男丁几乎都杀了。
When David fought against Edom, his commander Joab went there with the army and killed almost all the male Edomites.
那时候哈达还是个小孩。
At that time, Hadad was still a child.
他跟着一些以东人逃到了埃及。
He escaped to Egypt with some other Edomites.
他们一路从米甸到了巴兰，后来又带着人到了埃及。
They traveled from Midian to Paran and later went to Egypt with others.
埃及法老对哈达还挺好，给他房子、吃的、田地。
Pharaoh of Egypt treated Hadad well and gave him a house, food, and land.
后来法老又把自己王后的妹妹嫁给了哈达。
Later, Pharaoh gave his queen’s sister to Hadad as his wife.
这女人给哈达生了个儿子，叫基努拔。
She gave birth to a son for Hadad, named Genubath.
这个孩子还跟法老的儿子们一起住在王宫里。
The child lived in Pharaoh’s palace together with Pharaoh’s sons.
后来哈达听说大卫和约押都死了，就跟法老说：
Later, when Hadad heard that David and Joab had died, he said to Pharaoh:
“求你让我回自己的国家吧。”
“Please let me return to my own country.”
法老一听就纳闷：
Pharaoh was puzzled when he heard this:
“你在我这儿啥也不缺啊，咋非得回你自己国家呢？”
“You have everything you need here with me, so why do you insist on returning to your own country?”
哈达说：
Hadad replied:
“反正我想回去，求你让我回去吧。”
“Whatever the reason, I want to return. Please let me go back.”
除了哈达，神又兴起了一个敌人，叫利逊。
Besides Hadad, God raised up another enemy named Rezon.
这利逊原来是琐巴王哈大底谢手下的人，后来大卫打败琐巴人的时候，他带着一帮人跑了。他跑到大马士革，在那儿当了王。
Rezon had originally been one of the servants of Hadadezer, king of Zobah. When David defeated the people of Zobah, Rezon gathered a group of men and fled. He went to Damascus and became king there.
只要所罗门还活着，利逊就一直跟以色列过不去。
As long as Solomon lived, Rezon continued to oppose Israel.
他恨以色列人，还成了亚兰人的王。
He hated the Israelites and became king over Aram.
这时候，所罗门自己手底下又出了一个人，叫耶罗波安。
At this time, another man under Solomon also rose up against him. His name was Jeroboam.
耶罗波安是以法莲支派的人，老妈叫洗鲁阿，是个寡妇。
Jeroboam was from the tribe of Ephraim, and his mother, Zeruah, was a widow.
所罗门修建米罗，又修补大卫城的破口。
Solomon built the Millo and repaired the breaches in the City of David.
他看耶罗波安这小伙子又年轻、又壮实、又能干，就让他负责约瑟家所有的工程。
When Solomon saw that this young man, Jeroboam, was strong, capable, and hardworking, he put him in charge of all the labor of the house of Joseph.
有一天，耶罗波安出了耶路撒冷。
One day, Jeroboam went out from Jerusalem.
路上碰见了示罗人先知亚希雅。
On the way, he met the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite.
亚希雅身上穿着一件新衣服。
Ahijah was wearing a new garment.
四下没人。
There was no one else around.
亚希雅突然把自己身上的新衣服给撕成了十二块。
Ahijah suddenly tore the new garment he was wearing into twelve pieces.
然后跟耶罗波安说：
Then he said to Jeroboam:
“你拿十块。”
“Take ten pieces.”
耶罗波安估计当时都懵了：
Jeroboam must have been confused at that moment:
“这是干啥呀？”
“What are you doing?”
亚希雅接着说：
Ahijah continued:
“耶和华以色列的神这么说：
“The Lord, the God of Israel, says this:
我要把国从所罗门手里夺回来，十个支派交给你。
I will take the kingdom from Solomon’s hand and give ten tribes to you.
不过，因为我仆人大卫，也因为我所拣选的耶路撒冷，我还要给所罗门留下一个支派。
However, for the sake of my servant David and because of Jerusalem, which I have chosen, I will leave one tribe for Solomon.
因为所罗门离弃了我，去拜亚斯他录、基抹、米勒公这些神，也没有照我的道走，没有照我眼中看为正的事去做。
Because Solomon has abandoned me and worshiped Ashtoreth, Chemosh, and Milcom, and he has not walked in my ways or done what is right in my eyes.
但是，我不会在他活着的时候把整个国家夺走。
But I will not take the entire kingdom away during his lifetime.
我要让他一直作王，这是因为大卫的缘故。
I will let him remain king for all his days, for the sake of David.
等他儿子作王，我就从他儿子手里把国夺走，把十个支派给你。
When his son becomes king, I will take the kingdom from his son’s hand and give ten tribes to you.
我还会留下一个支派给他儿子。
I will also leave one tribe for his son.
如果你听从我的话，照我的道走，做我眼中看为正的事，遵守我的律例诫命，就像我仆人大卫那样，我就与你同在，也要给你建立坚固的家。
If you listen to my commands, walk in my ways, do what is right in my eyes, and keep my statutes and commandments as my servant David did, I will be with you and build you a lasting dynasty.
但是因为所罗门犯的这些事，大卫的后代要受患难，不过这患难不会一直持续下去。”
But because of what Solomon has done, the descendants of David will suffer hardship, but this hardship will not last forever.”
这下耶罗波安知道了：
Now Jeroboam knew:
自己以后要当十个支派的王。
He would one day become king over ten tribes.
这消息要是让所罗门知道，那还了得？
If Solomon found out about this, there would be serious trouble.
果不其然，所罗门要杀耶罗波安。
Sure enough, Solomon wanted to kill Jeroboam.
耶罗波安一看情况不妙，赶紧跑路，直接逃到埃及去了。
When Jeroboam saw that things were getting dangerous, he quickly ran away and escaped to Egypt.
到了埃及，他去见埃及王示撒，就住在那里，一直等到所罗门死了。
When he arrived in Egypt, he went to Pharaoh Shishak and stayed there until Solomon died.
最后，所罗门在耶路撒冷一共作了四十年以色列王。
In the end, Solomon ruled over all Israel in Jerusalem for forty years.
他其余的事，包括他做过的事和他的智慧，都记在《所罗门记》上。
The rest of Solomon’s deeds, including all that he did and his wisdom, are recorded in the Book of the Acts of Solomon.
后来所罗门死了，跟他祖先们一起长眠，被葬在他父亲大卫的城里。
Later, Solomon died and rested with his ancestors, and he was buried in the city of his father David.
然后，他儿子罗波安接着当王。
Then his son Rehoboam became king in his place.
