<\/a> <\/p>Scripture: Genesis 21:1\u201321<\/p>\n
Twenty-five years had passed since God first called Abraham to leave his homeland. Throughout those years, God repeatedly promised that Abraham would become the father of many nations and that he and Sarah would have a son together. But as time went by, Abraham reached the age of one hundred, and Sarah was ninety. From a human perspective, having a child was impossible. Yet God is never limited by human circumstances. What He promises, He always fulfills.<\/p>\n
Just as God had said, Sarah conceived and gave birth to a son. In obedience to God’s command, Abraham named the child Isaac, which means “laughter.” His name became a beautiful reminder that what once seemed impossible\u2014and even caused laughter in disbelief\u2014had now become a joyful testimony of God’s faithfulness. Sarah joyfully declared,<\/p>\n
“God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”
\n(Genesis 21:6)<\/p>\n
On the eighth day, Abraham circumcised Isaac, just as God had commanded. This act demonstrated Abraham’s complete obedience and acknowledged that Isaac was the promised son given by God\u2014not the result of human effort, but the fulfillment of God’s covenant and grace.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
