\nSo, it wasn\u2019t long after Elisha began his ministry that he came to the city of Jericho.<\/p>\n

\nBut there was one thing this place had a serious problem with\u2014the water!<\/p>\n

\nThe people of the city said to Elisha:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u4ee5\u5229\u6c99\uff0c\u8fd9\u5730\u65b9\u771f\u633a\u597d\uff0c\u5730\u52bf\u4e5f\u4e0d\u9519\u3002\u53ef\u5c31\u662f\u6c34\u8d28\u592a\u5dee\u4e86\uff01
\n\u201cElisha, this place is really nice, and the land is good too. But the water quality is terrible!<\/p>\n
\u6c34\u4e0d\u597d\u554a\uff0c\u5730\u91cc\u7684\u5e84\u7a3c\u957f\u4e0d\u597d\u8ddf\u8fd9\u6c34\u6709\u76f4\u63a5\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\uff0c\u521a\u957f\u51fa\u6765\u70b9\u82d7\u5c31\u6b7b\u4e86\u3002
\nThe poor water is directly affecting the crops in the fields; as soon as the little plants begin to grow, they die.<\/p>\n

\nElisha listened calmly and didn\u2019t seem bothered at all.<\/p>\n

\nWhen everyone heard this, they were confused.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWhat? The water has a problem\u2014will putting salt in it really help?\u201d<\/p>\n

\nEveryone started talking among themselves, each one sounding like they knew exactly what they were talking about.<\/p>\n

\nBut Elisha didn\u2019t explain any further.<\/p>\n

\nSo they did exactly what he said: they brought a new jar, put salt in it, and gave it to Elisha.<\/p>\n

\nElisha took the salt and went straight to the source of the water.<\/p>\n

\nHe poured the salt into the water and then declared solemnly:<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThus says the LORD: I have healed this water. From now on, it will no longer cause death or make the land unproductive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThere was no high technology involved, and it wasn\u2019t some complicated procedure.<\/p>\n

\nAnd sure enough, the water was healed and became usable again!<\/p>\n
