\nAfter Solomon became king, he kept thinking about one thing: building a temple for the LORD\u2014God.<\/p>\n

\nSo he sent messengers to King Hiram of Tyre and said to him:<\/p>\n

\n\u201cYou know that my father David had always wanted to build a temple for God, but he was constantly fighting wars and surrounded by enemies, so he simply did not have the opportunity.<\/p>\n
\u73b0\u5728\u4e0d\u4e00\u6837\u4e86\u3002\u4e0a\u5e1d\u795d\u798f\u6211\u6211\uff0c\u56fd\u6cf0\u6c11\u5b89\uff0c\u7269\u4ea7\u4e30\u5bcc\u3002
\nThings are different now. God has blessed me; the country is at peace, and we have abundant resources.<\/p>\n

\nSo I have made up my mind to build a temple for the LORD my God.<\/p>\n

\nThis is also what God had promised my father David: \u2018Your son will succeed you as king, and he will build a temple for my name.\u2019<\/p>\n

\nSo I would like to ask you for a favor.<\/p>\n

\nThe cedar trees from Lebanon are especially good. Could you have your people cut some cedar wood for me and bring it here?<\/p>\n

\nWhen King Hiram heard this, he was very pleased and said:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u4eca\u5929\u771f\u5e94\u8be5\u611f\u8c22\u8036\u548c\u534e\uff01\u770b\u6765\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8d50\u7ed9\u5927\u536b\u4e00\u4e2a\u7279\u522b\u6709\u667a\u6167\u7684\u513f\u5b50\uff0c\u8ba9\u4ed6\u6765\u7ba1\u7406\u8fd9\u4e48\u591a\u8001\u767e\u59d3\u3002\u201d
\n\u201cToday we truly should give thanks to the LORD! It seems that God has given David a very wise son to rule over all these people.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u4e8e\u662f\uff0c\u4e24\u4e2a\u4eba\u5c31\u8fd9\u6837\u8c08\u59a5\u4e86\uff0c\u6b63\u5f0f\u7b7e\u4e86\u7ea6\uff0c\u5f00\u59cb\u5408\u4f5c\u3002
\nSo the two of them reached an agreement, formally made a treaty, and began working together.<\/p>\n
\u5e0c\u5170\u7ed9\u6240\u7f57\u95e8\u63d0\u4f9b\u9999\u67cf\u6728\u548c\u677e\u6728\u3002
\nHiram provided Solomon with cedar and pine wood.<\/p>\n

\nSolomon sent Hiram wheat and olive oil.<\/p>\n

\nSolomon also selected thirty thousand men from among the Israelites to help build the temple.<\/p>\n

\nEvery month, he sent ten thousand men to Lebanon to cut wood.<\/p>\n

\nThey worked for one month and then went home for two months before another group took their place.<\/p>\n
\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4eba\u7531\u4e9a\u591a\u5c3c\u5170\u8d1f\u8d23\u7ba1\u7406\u3002
\nAdoniram was in charge of these workers.<\/p>\n
\u53e6\u5916\uff0c\u6240\u7f57\u95e8\u8fd8\u6709\u4e03\u4e07\u4eba\u8d1f\u8d23\u642c\u77f3\u5934\uff0c\u516b\u4e07\u4eba\u5728\u5c71\u4e0a\u51ff\u77f3\u5934\u3002
\nIn addition, Solomon had seventy thousand men who carried stones and eighty thousand who quarried stones in the mountains.<\/p>\n

\nSolomon ordered them to quarry large, high-quality stones to use for the foundation of the temple.<\/p>\n

\nIn the fourth year of Solomon\u2019s reign, in the second month, the month of Ziv, construction of the temple officially began.<\/p>\n

\nThis temple was certainly not small.<\/p>\n

\nWhen they built the temple, you could hardly hear the sound of hammering or other construction work at the site.<\/p>\n

\nThat was because the stones had already been prepared at another location, and when they arrived at the temple, they were simply fitted into place according to their measurements.<\/p>\n
\u6240\u4ee5\u73b0\u573a\u542c\u4e0d\u89c1\u9524\u5b50\u3001\u65a7\u5b50\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u94c1\u5668\u53ee\u53ee\u5f53\u5f53\u7684\u58f0\u97f3\u3002
\nSo there was no sound of hammers, axes, or other iron tools ringing at the construction site.<\/p>\n
\u5723\u6bbf\u76d6\u8d77\u6765\u4ee5\u540e\uff0c\u6240\u7f57\u95e8\u7528\u4e0a\u597d\u7684\u9999\u67cf\u6728\u628a\u91cc\u9762\u88c5\u9970\u8d77\u6765\u3002
\nAfter the temple was built, Solomon used fine cedar wood to decorate the inside.<\/p>\n
\u5730\u677f\u5219\u94fa\u4e0a\u677e\u6728\u3002
\nThe floor was covered with pine wood.<\/p>\n

\nInside the temple was the most important place, called the inner sanctuary, or the Most Holy Place.<\/p>\n
\u8fd9\u662f\u4e13\u95e8\u5206\u522b\u51fa\u6765\u656c\u62dc\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u3002
\nThis was the place set apart especially for worshiping God.<\/p>\n
\u6240\u7f57\u95e8\u7528\u6700\u597d\u7684\u91d1\u5b50\u628a\u81f3\u5723\u6240\u5305\u8d77\u6765\uff0c\u8fd8\u7528\u9999\u67cf\u6728\u505a\u4e86\u9999\u575b\u3002
\nSolomon covered the Most Holy Place with the finest gold and made the altar of incense out of cedar wood.<\/p>\n
\u4ed6\u53c8\u7528\u6a44\u6984\u6728\u505a\u4e86\u4e24\u4e2a\u57fa\u8def\u4f2f\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u4ee3\u8868\u5929\u4e0a\u4f8d\u5949\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u5929\u4f7f\u5f62\u8c61\u3002
\nHe also made two cherubim out of olive wood, representing heavenly beings who serve God.<\/p>\n

\nEach cherub was ten cubits high.<\/p>\n

\nThe two cherubim were placed inside the Most Holy Place.<\/p>\n

\nTheir wings were spread out, with one wing touching one wall and the other wing touching the opposite wall.<\/p>\n
\u4e24\u4e2a\u57fa\u8def\u4f2f\u7684\u7fc5\u8180\u5728\u4e2d\u95f4\u6b63\u597d\u78b0\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\u3002
\nThe wings of the two cherubim touched each other in the middle.<\/p>\n
\u6574\u4e2a\u5723\u6bbf\u91cc\u9762\u90fd\u88c5\u9970\u5f97\u975e\u5e38\u6f02\u4eae\u3002
\nThe entire inside of the temple was beautifully decorated.<\/p>\n

\nThere was also an inner courtyard made of cedar wood.<\/p>\n

\nBut you need to remember something more important:<\/p>\n

\nYou must listen to me, obey my laws, follow my instructions, and keep my commandments.<\/p>\n

\nIf you do this, I will fulfill the promise I made to your father David.<\/p>\n
