When God Speaks, Don’t Ignore Him

Sarah (USA)

Think about this:

Have you ever wondered why God would tell someone to wear a certain coat, take a different road, or even go get a bottle of water?

From our perspective, those instructions may seem small or unnecessary. We might think, “I don’t want to wear that.” Or, “The weather looks fine.” Or, “I don’t feel like going outside.”

So we ignore the prompting.

But what if God wasn’t giving those instructions to control you? What if He was protecting you?

God doesn’t waste His time speaking to His children. Every instruction He gives comes from His love, His wisdom, and His perfect knowledge of what lies ahead. He sees what we cannot see.

Sometimes what appears to be an ordinary decision can become the very thing God uses to guide us, protect us, or position us for His purpose.

The greatest obstacle is often our own pride. We think we know better. We trust our feelings more than His voice.

Lay down your pride. Trust God’s leading, even when it doesn’t make sense.

The Bible reminds us:

“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)

God is for you, not against you. His commands are never meant to harm you—they are given because He loves you. When you choose to obey Him, even in the smallest things, you are placing your trust in the One who knows the end from the beginning.

Today, ask God for a heart that listens, trusts, and obeys.
